Export Wine Testing

Are you looking for an approved laboratory to perform your export analyses for wine destined for the European Union, Brazil and other export markets?

Cawthron Laboratory Services are a Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry (MAF) approved laboratory offering a comprehensive analysis service for export wines required by the Wine Export Certification Service (WECS) for the European Union (EU), Brazil, Japan and other export markets.

This includes:

	Total Alcoholic Strength
	Citric Acid
	Titratable Acidity (as tartaric acid)
	Total Dry Extract
	Total Sugar
	Total Sulphur Dioxide
	Volatile Acidity (as acetic acid)
	Sorbic Acid

We offer the convenience of two locations: Blenheim and Nelson that are MAF approved and IANZ ISO 17025 accredited. Our friendly experienced team provide prompt turnaround times, high quality analytical results and final reporting. Cawthron is committed to offering high levels of service and technical support to it's customers.

In addition we also offer:

	Total Alcohol for labeling purposes
	Pre label checks for all export wine analyses as listed above
	Sorbic acid analyses required for export to Japan
	Trace elements and heavy metals
	Nutritional labeling

Our wine analyses sample submission form can be used to submit samples for testing and contains a complete list of analyses available.

Sample Drop off:

Samples can be couriered overnight to our Blenheim laboratory at Grovetown Park, SH 1 Blenheim, or alternatively dropped off at either our Nelson or Blenheim laboratories. Samples dropped off at our Nelson laboratory (98 Halifax St East Nelson) during week days will be transferred to our Blenheim laboratory free of charge if they are not tested in our Nelson laboratory.
